MicroStrategy Signals Resumption of Bitcoin Buys After One-Week Hiatus
MicroStrategy is set to resume buying Bitcoin after a one-week break. The company's co-founder, Michael Saylor, hinted at this move in a tweet on Sunday.
'Some weeks, you don't just HODL,' Saylor wrote, referencing the strategy of holding onto assets without selling or trading them.
The company had previously accumulated Bitcoin for 12 consecutive weeks before skipping a purchase last week. Its most recent acquisition was 4,980 Bitcoin for $532 million on June 30.
MicroStrategy now holds an impressive 597,325 Bitcoin valued at over $70.9 billion at current prices.
