MicroStrategy Stock Climbs 6% as Firm Raises $2 Billion
Strategy Inc., parent company of MicroStrategy (MSTR), has seen its stock price surge by around 6% following a significant capital raise and the launch of a new cash pool under its Digital Credit Capital Framework. The firm generated $2.01 billion through ATM equity sales from August 17-23, with 18.26 million Class A shares being sold.
Of this amount, $300 million was allocated to the USD Reserve, while $136.4 million went towards STRC preferred stock buybacks. Strategy's bitcoin position remains at 840,447 BTC, purchased at an average cost of $75,385 per coin, representing approximately $63.36 billion in total.
The company did not execute any bitcoin purchases or disposals during the week concluded August 23. The absence of new bitcoin additions represents a break from Strategy's typically aggressive accumulation approach.
