MicroStrategy Stock Surges as Wall Street Hikes Targets Amid Bitcoin Frenzy
MicroStrategy's stock has risen by 2.84% after Wall Street firms hiked their targets for the company, which is seen as a proxy for Bitcoin's price movements.
The analysts from B. Riley, Canaccord, Barclays, Alliance Global, and Bernstein have all increased their price targets for MSTR, with an average target of $230.83, significantly higher than its current trading price.
MicroStrategy has a significant holding of Bitcoin, with around 845,050 BTC, approximately 4% of the total supply, which is expected to outperform Bitcoin over the next 6-18 months according to Alliance Global's analysis.
The company has also built a $1.59B 'USD Cash' liquidity pool and carries about $5.1B in USD reserves and more than $1.3B-$1.44B in cash, which provides it with the flexibility to buy back its stock and preferreds, as well as maintain a strong dollar position.
