PowerCompute, a Bitcoin treasury and mining company, has taken a significant risk by adding $3.765 million to its debt after an early Bitcoin collar reset involving 307 BTC ($78,807.00 · Live). The company elected to add the unwind cost to the balance as part of a new 30-day collar agreement with Arch Lending.

The previous collar began on August 3 and was due to reset on September 2, but PowerCompute ended it on August 25, 22 days into the period, at a $78,500 reference price. This move resulted in an interest bill of $118,582.38 under the contract's 30/360 calculation.

The new collar sets a floor of $71,112 and a ceiling of $75,000, with a knock-in barrier of $93,500. If the September 24 reference price reaches at least this barrier, excess appreciation will arise, allowing PowerCompute to settle it through retained BTC or USD/USDC.
