Miden Set to Launch Private Stablecoin USDCx With Circle's xReserve Infrastructure

Miden is launching USDCx, a USDC-backed stablecoin, on its mainnet later this month. This comes after Circle's xReserve infrastructure was used to deploy USDCx on other networks.

The stablecoin will be issued natively on Miden and backed 1:1 by USDC held in an xReserve smart contract. Unlike standard USDC transactions, individual balances, counterparties, and transaction histories will remain private by default on Miden.

Miden is a zero-knowledge blockchain that uses this technology to execute and verify transactions without exposing their underlying details. This approach aims to balance transaction privacy with verifiability, which could be relevant for institutional users that need compliance and audit capabilities.
