Midnight's NIGHT Token Rallies 86% as Smart Contract Rollout Looms
NIGHT, the native cryptocurrency of Midnight, has been on an impressive eight-day rally, gaining 86% in the last seven days. The price increase began on September 24 from a low of $0.022 and has continued to rise with each passing day. As of press time, NIGHT had reached a high of $0.048.
The Midnight project is also seeing an increase in value, up 17.66% in the last 24 hours to $0.044. The rally comes as Midnight moves closer to its smart contract rollout. In a recent post, Sebastien Guillemot, CTO of the Midnight Foundation, shared details about the upcoming upgrade and deployment of private smart contracts.
Guillemot noted that the v8 release enables private contracts, with composability (v9) coming after. He highlighted the possibility of the composability upgrade occurring this year. The team is preparing for this accelerated roadmap with a Midnight Node 1.0.4 update to arrive shortly on the mainnet.
