Mirae Asset Pumps More Cash into Acquired Crypto Exchange

Share

Mirae Asset Group is injecting an additional 50 billion won ($36 million) into its newly acquired cryptocurrency exchange, DigitalX. The funds will be used to strengthen the platform's capital base and support future business expansion and competitiveness.

The move comes after Mirae Asset Consulting, a non-financial affiliate of Mirae Asset Group, acquired management control of DigitalX last month for about 130 billion won ($94 million) and currently holds a 97.15% stake in the exchange.

DigitalX is one of five domestic cryptocurrency exchanges that support Korean won trading, and the funds raised through this offering will be used to enhance the platform's competitiveness in the market.
