Bitcoin SV Price Breaks Above 50-Day EMA as Retail Strength Builds
Bitcoin SV (BSV) has been showing steady growth over the last two weeks, up nearly 2% on Friday. The retail strength in BSV is building amid multiple vulnerabilities found in the Bitcoin ecosystem, including a Coldcard wallet hack and around 8,000 issues discovered by the volunteer group of developers using the Kimi K3 AI model.
The buzz around the PiWalletSV, an air-gapped wallet for the Bitcoin SV ecosystem, has contributed to this retail strength. CoinGlass data shows that the BSV futures Open Interest (OI) is at $38.54 million, up from $31.87 million on August 1, indicating a surge in positional buildup. The funding rate remains stable at 0.0051%, reflecting steady demand for long positions.
From a technical perspective, Bitcoin SV trades above the 50-day EMA at $13.57 while capped below the 200-day EMA at $15.39. A sustained recovery would require clearing the 200-day EMA barrier and the $17.06 resistance level marked by the December 28 low.
