Mirae Asset Transforms Korbit into Digital X

Mirae Asset has finalized its acquisition of Korbit, South Korea's oldest crypto exchange, after securing a 97.15% stake in the company.

The exchange will be rebranded as Digital X, reflecting Mirae's ambitious vision for the platform.

Mirae plans to turn Digital X into an 'intelligent investment platform' that integrates real-world assets, security tokens, stablecoins, traditional assets, and digital assets in a single ecosystem.

The firm aims to provide investor education and research capabilities, strict compliance standards, and institutional-grade infrastructure to support sustainable growth of the digital asset industry.
