Missouri Town Becomes Hub for Regional Bitcoin Adoption
The small town of Farmington in Missouri has become the epicenter of a regional monetary movement after Coljac Café, a local coffee shop, started accepting Bitcoin. The café's owner and local Bitcoiners worked together to integrate Coinos.io, which gave the shop native Bitcoin and Lightning functionality.
Since then, the shop's revenue has seen a significant boost, with Bitcoin transactions accounting for around 5% of their annual income last year. However, during meetups hosted by the local Bitcoiner group, Bitcoin payments skyrocket to an astonishing 50% of their morning sales volume.
The Coljac Café's willingness to adapt to its customers' needs has paid off, and it has become a beacon for the community. The shop now displays a 'Bitcoin Accepted Here' sign, which has become a symbol of its commitment to catering to its Bitcoin-paying customers.
