MOEX Expands Crypto Derivatives With Perpetual Futures for Top Cryptos
Moscow Exchange (MOEX) is expanding its crypto derivatives lineup by launching perpetual futures tied to major cryptocurrencies, including Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana, XRP, and TRON. The new contracts will be available exclusively to qualified investors on September 22.
The perpetual futures will track Moscow Exchange indices for the respective cryptocurrencies and will have a contract code of BTCUSDF, ETHUSDF, SOLUSDF, XRPUSDF, and TRXUSDF. These one-day futures with automatic rollover will allow positions to continue from one trading day to the next, creating a structure similar to perpetual contracts used across international crypto markets.
The contracts will be quoted in U.S. dollars but settled financially in Russian rubles, eliminating the need for investors to manage wallets or custody. A funding mechanism is also built into the products to help keep futures pricing aligned with the underlying crypto indices, with K1 at 0% and K2 at 0.35% for the new instruments.
