MOEX Expands Regulated Crypto Derivatives with Five New Perpetual Futures Contracts
MOEX, Russia's largest stock exchange, is expanding its regulated cryptocurrency derivatives market by launching five new crypto perpetual futures on September 22. The contracts will be available exclusively to qualified investors and track MOEX indices for Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), Solana (SOL), XRP, and TRON.
The products are designed as cash-settled instruments, allowing investors to gain exposure to cryptocurrency price movements without holding the underlying assets. The contracts will use automatic rollover rather than a conventional expiration date and have funding parameters set at K1=0% and K2=0.35%. Funding is a standard feature of crypto perpetual futures.
The launch comes as Russia implements its new cryptocurrency framework, which established regulated infrastructure for cryptocurrency circulation through intermediaries, exchanges, and digital repositories. Qualified investors can now transact in cryptocurrencies without purchase limits applied to non-qualified investors.
