MOEX Launches Perpetual Futures for Bitcoin, Ether, Solana, XRP, Tron
MOEX, Russia's largest exchange, is expanding its regulated digital-asset trading by launching five perpetual futures contracts for qualified investors on September 22. The new products will track Bitcoin, Ether, Solana, XRP, and Tron indexes and will be quoted in US dollars but settled in Russian rubles.
The perpetual futures contracts will not deliver cryptocurrency, instead using a derivatives clearing system to calculate financial results. Daily funding calculations will also apply to the contracts, with a K1 funding parameter of 0% and a K2 at 0.35%. The five products will join MOEX's existing monthly futures tied to the same indexes.
MOEX has seen significant growth in its crypto-related futures business since entering the market in 2025, with over 72,000 qualified investors trading the contracts and a cumulative transaction volume of above 600 billion rubles. The exchange first introduced a futures contract linked to BlackRock's iShares Bitcoin Trust ETF in June 2025.
