MOEX Launches Perpetual Futures on Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana, XRP, and Tron
Russia's largest exchange, Moscow Exchange (MOEX), is set to launch ruble-settled perpetual futures on five major cryptocurrencies. The new contracts will be available starting September 22, 2026, and will only be open to qualified investors.
The MOEX crypto indices will serve as the basis for the cash-settled futures, allowing investors to profit from changes in crypto prices without directly holding Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana, XRP, or Tron. This move is likely to boost institutional adoption, liquidity, and price discovery in Russian markets.
The five contracts will have unique codes and underlying indices: BTCUSD (Bitcoin), ETHUSD (Ethereum), SOLUSD (Solana), XRPC (XRP), and TRXC (Tron). The availability of these perpetual futures is expected to give institutional traders regulated crypto exposure without the need for custody on a major cryptocurrency exchange.
