Monad and Solana Clash as Fast Layer 1 Competition Heats Up
The competition between Monad and Solana is heating up as both chains vie for dominance in the fast Layer 1 space. While both chains boast impressive technical capabilities, their approaches to achieving high performance differ fundamentally.
Monad has opted to build on top of Ethereum's execution model, aiming to make it run an order of magnitude faster without breaking anything. Solana, on the other hand, has taken a different route by designing a purpose-built execution model optimized for parallelism from day one.
