Monero Breaks Above $450 as Liquidity Infrastructure Continues to Develop
Monero's price has broken above $450, marking a significant move higher for the cryptocurrency. The breakout comes after months of trading below the $420-$430 supply region, where multiple recovery attempts had failed to establish a sustained move above it.
Once buyers absorbed this overhead supply, momentum accelerated, taking the token through $450 and toward the $475 area. This move has also extended a broader recovery from the mid-$300s earlier in August.
The development of Monero's liquidity infrastructure continues to add weight to the market narrative. THORChain's recent upgrade introduced the framework for native $XMR swaps, allowing Monero to interact with other major crypto assets without depending on wrapped representations.
However, the analyst notes that this development should be viewed as a longer-term liquidity catalyst rather than evidence of immediate additional buying pressure.
