Money Printing Could Lift Crypto Prices, Experts Predict

Share

Crypto and finance experts gathered at CONNECT by Cointelegraph: Seoul Edition to discuss the impact of money printing on cryptocurrency prices. Arthur Hayes, chief investment officer at Maelstrom fund, predicted that US policymakers could lift crypto prices by printing more money to support AI and finance government debt.

Hayes noted that companies like AI need trillions of dollars to finance data centers even as the prices of their services fall, making it difficult for them to rely on traditional funding methods. He stated that 'They've not really given themselves a lot of options other than print money and make it less bad.'

Hayes also discussed the potential for China to shift from its current 'austerity lite' policy to substantial monetary stimulus, which could revive demand for scarce assets.
