The CEO of Moneyflip LLC, Marcos Arturo Kleiman Tronllan, was arrested in Miami on July 30 over allegations that he used his cross-border currency exchange business to fund a murder-for-hire plot.

Federal prosecutors claim that Kleiman converted $750,000 into cryptocurrency and caused the transmission of those coins into an undercover federal agent's wallet. He allegedly charged a 10% fee for this service.

The complaint alleges that Kleiman agreed to pay $40,000 to kidnap and kill a Mexican businessman over an unpaid debt. The CEO delivered two separate cash payments of $5,000 before undercover agents presented fabricated photographs and a video showing the supposed victim dead.

Kleiman then completed the arrangement with another cash payment and a USDT transfer into an undercover cryptocurrency wallet. He faces one count of murder-for-hire under 18 U.S.C. § 1958(a), which carries a maximum penalty of 10 years in prison and a $250,000 fine if convicted.
