MoneyGram Brings Stablecoin Spending Mainstream with New Visa Card Launch
MoneyGram is rolling out a new Visa card that lets users spend USDC balances anywhere Visa is accepted, bringing stablecoins into everyday payments.
The card will initially launch in Colombia and expand to other markets through MoneyGram's app and mobile wallets.
It will support Circle's USDC and later add MoneyGram's MGUSD stablecoin. A physical card with ATM withdrawal capabilities is expected to arrive by 2026.
This move reflects the growing use of stablecoins for everyday transactions, remittances, and cross-border payments.
