Monochrome Exchange Launches IEO for Native Token MCR
Monochrome Exchange, a multi-asset trading platform, has announced its Initial Exchange Offering (IEO) of its native utility token, MCR. The exchange currently lists over 260 active markets and offers a range of assets, including crypto, equities, ETFs, commodities, and pre-IPO markets.
The MCR IEO will take place from September 21 to 28, with a token price of $0.88 per MCR. The public sale supply is capped at 10.5 million tokens, which represents 5% of the total supply. The vesting schedule for the token is as follows: one-month cliff after the Token Generation Event (TGE), followed by three months of linear vesting.
According to Monochrome Exchange's founder and CEO Jeff Yew, 'Tokenisation has produced a large number of assets that barely trade,' adding that 'The harder problem has always been the market underneath them: liquidity, settlement, and compliance that holds up.' The exchange aims to address these issues by offering a single platform for trading and settling various asset classes.
The MCR token will have multiple functions within the Monochrome ecosystem, including fee discounts, exclusive access to Launchpad offerings, staking, and governance. Holders of MCR will also be able to participate in voting on platform listings, Launchpad parameters, and treasury deployment.
