Monochrome Exchange Launches Native Token MCR with Initial Exchange Offering
Monochrome Exchange, a multi-asset trading platform, has announced an Initial Exchange Offering (IEO) of its native utility token, MCR. The IEO will take place from September 21 to 28, with a price of $0.88 per MCR. A total of 10,500,000 MCR tokens will be available for public sale, which is 5% of the total supply.
The platform currently supports trading across four asset classes: crypto, equities, ETFs and indices, and commodities. Monochrome Exchange was founded by Jeff Yew, former CEO of Binance Australia, who has over a decade of experience in exchange operations and digital asset licensing. The platform aims to consolidate various assets into a single venue where trades settle on-chain.
The MCR token will have multiple functions within the Monochrome ecosystem, including fee discounts, exclusive access to Launchpad offerings and Digital IPOs, staking, and governance. A buy-back and burn mechanism will be driven by platform activity, with 20% of net platform profit used to purchase MCR tokens from the open market quarterly.
