Moonbeam Halted User Transactions Amid Operational Wind-Down
Moonbeam has halted all user transactions, leaving late holders of its native token GLMR at the mercy of an email helpdesk for fund recovery. The snapshot of direct bridge use no longer tracks stranded supply, while self-custodied tokens and protocol positions face separate action paths.
The standard bridge for self-custodied free balances ended with Moonbeam's operational wind-down, which began on August 1 after the network entered maintenance mode at 00:00 UTC. Exchange-held and snapshot-covered balances followed separate routes from the direct migration contract.
Late holders face individual review, with no universal post-cutoff claim portal or recovery guarantee. In fact, Moonbeam's helpdesk is the sole means for recovering funds, leaving some holders uncertain about their next steps.
