MoonPay Integrates USDC.E and PATHUSD in Partnership with Tempo
MoonPay has expanded its stablecoin roster through a partnership with Tempo, a blockchain incubated by Paradigm and Stripe. The collaboration will allow users to convert fiat currencies directly into USDC.E and PATHUSD without needing a bridge or manual swap.
USDC.E is an Ethereum-linked variant of Circle's USDC, designed for specific blockchain environments while maintaining dollar parity. PATHUSD is Tempo's native stablecoin, introduced as a core settlement asset on the Tempo network.
MoonPay handles the messy middle layer between traditional banking rails and the crypto economy, enabling users to convert fiat into digital assets without touching a centralized exchange.
Tempo itself is built for high-throughput payment use cases, supporting stablecoin-native gas fees and including built-in decentralized exchange functionality. The network recently launched its public testnet, placing this partnership in an early but strategically timed window.
