MoonPay's PayBox Brings Crypto Transactions to AI Assistants
MoonPay has released PayBox, a payment vault that connects directly to popular AI assistants ChatGPT and Claude. This allows users to authorize crypto transactions, token swaps, and cross-chain trades from within a conversation.
To set up PayBox, users need to install it inside their chosen AI assistant, create an account, register a passkey, connect a crypto wallet, and optionally add a payment card after MoonPay's identity verification process is complete.
The vault can be funded through an existing wallet or a card. Once connected, the AI assistant prepares a transaction based on a natural-language prompt, which the user then approves with their passkey before any funds move.
Users can also switch to an autonomous mode, letting the AI execute transactions automatically within spending limits they define in advance. MoonPay chief engineer Neeraj Prasad said keys are split across hardware-isolated secure environments, preventing any single device or party from moving funds independently.
