Morgan Stanley Puts DeFi Vaults in Its Crosshairs for Future Integration
Morgan Stanley's Digital Asset Lab has set up to test DeFi vaults and other digital assets. According to Bloomberg, the bank sees a 'very reasonable path' for these vaults to become part of their future.
The technology is still considered 'nascent,' and Morgan Stanley wants to understand how it works before integrating it into their platform.
DeFi vaults are pools of assets that automatically put capital to work via blockchain-based software. They resemble investment funds, but automate parts of portfolio management and administration.
The bank has launched a Bitcoin ETF, MSBT, in April and also rolled out cryptocurrency trading on its E*Trade platform earlier this year.
