Morgan Stanley Taps Digital Asset Lab for Blockchain Innovation
Morgan Stanley has established a Digital Asset Lab to test blockchain applications, including stablecoins and decentralized finance (DeFi). The lab will also explore tokenized deposits, central bank digital currencies (CBDCs), money-market funds, and DeFi vaults. This initiative is part of Morgan Stanley's existing innovation lab network, allowing employees to test emerging technologies separately from core systems.
The bank has expanded its crypto offering through E*TRADE and launched investment products linked to Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Solana. The Digital Asset Lab will allow Morgan Stanley to further explore the potential of blockchain technology in finance.
