Morgan Stanley Tests Stablecoins, Tokenized Assets, and DeFi at New Lab
Morgan Stanley has created a Digital Asset Lab to test stablecoins, tokenized financial products, and decentralized finance (DeFi) applications as part of its expansion into blockchain-based financial infrastructure.
The lab sits inside Morgan Stanley's existing innovation network and provides employees with a separate environment to experiment with digital asset technology before connecting it to the bank's production systems.
Megan Brewer, who leads market innovation and labs at Morgan Stanley, explained that the facilities are designed to let teams test emerging technologies without putting the firm's core infrastructure at risk.
