Morgan Stanley's Bitcoin ETF Nears $400 Million in Assets
Morgan Stanley's spot Bitcoin ETF is rapidly approaching $400 million in assets under management (AUM), signaling strong early adoption for regulated crypto exposure. The fund, launched in April and listed on NYSE Arca, has surpassed $391 million in AUM as of July 24, with over $33 million in net inflows on its first trading day.
The bank's CEO, Ted Pick, has been engaging with regulators to provide safe crypto products. Amy Oldenburg, who leads Morgan Stanley's crypto unit, believes the central bottleneck for broader Bitcoin adoption is client education, not product engineering.
While U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs have seen a rebound in net inflows over the past week, the recovery has been uneven. On Thursday, nearly all spot Bitcoin ETFs recorded outflows, except Morgan Stanley's fund, which stood out as an exception.
