Moscow Exchange Adds Five New Crypto Perpetual Futures Contracts
Moscow Exchange is expanding its crypto derivatives market by launching five new perpetual futures contracts on September 22. The contracts will track indexes for Bitcoin, Ether, Solana, XRP, and Tron, allowing qualified Russian investors to gain regulated exposure to these cryptocurrencies without taking possession of the underlying assets.
The exchange has already introduced similar products in June 2025 with its first Bitcoin-linked futures and later added Ether contracts. Since then, over 72,000 qualified investors have traded its crypto futures products, with cumulative turnover exceeding 600 billion rubles.
The new perpetual contracts will differ from many offshore options by using exchange-based indexes, regulated clearing, and ruble settlement. This structure is similar to the one used for currencies, equities, metals, indexes, and government bonds on the Moscow Exchange platform.
