Moscow Exchange Introduces Perpetual Futures for Five Major Cryptocurrencies
Moscow Exchange has launched five perpetual futures contracts tied to major cryptocurrencies, allowing qualified investors to gain continuous exposure without owning the underlying assets. The new products are available for Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana, XRP, and Tron, with each contract tracking a corresponding MOEX crypto index.
The perpetual futures do not require manual rollover of positions, automatically rolling over into the next trading period each day. They are cash-settled derivatives, meaning investors gain exposure to crypto prices through a regulated MOEX contract without ever receiving or holding the underlying cryptocurrency.
Access is limited to qualified investors, who must post collateral to trade the contracts. The first-tier minimum margin rates range from 22% for Bitcoin to 43% for XRP, with concentration limits set by the exchange.
The launch builds on Moscow Exchange's existing crypto derivatives business, which has seen cumulative turnover exceed 600 billion rubles and over 72,000 qualified investors trade digital-asset futures.
