Moscow Exchange to List Crypto Futures in September 2026
The Moscow Exchange (MOEX) is set to introduce perpetual futures contracts linked to five major cryptocurrencies starting September 22, 2026. The contracts will be available for Bitcoin (BTC), Ether (ETH), Solana (SOL), XRP, and Tron (TRX).
These instruments allow investors to participate in price fluctuations without directly acquiring the underlying asset. Transactions will be settled daily in rubles, with quotes set in US dollars.
The introduction of these derivatives marks a shift in Russia's regulatory stance on cryptocurrencies, which previously faced legal restrictions. The local framework now allows for the offering of derivatives linked to digital assets.
