Moscow Exchange Unveils Plans for Wider Crypto Derivatives Offerings
Moscow Exchange, Russia's largest stock exchange, is set to launch Bitcoin and Ethereum perpetual futures in September 2026 for qualified investors. According to Maria Patrikeeva, Managing Director of the Derivatives Market at the exchange, this move marks a significant expansion of its derivatives offerings.
The perpetual futures contracts will track Bitcoin and Ethereum indexes, allowing traders to bet on price movements without having to worry about expiration dates. The launch is part of the exchange's plans to grow its coin list from five to ten assets over time.
Moscow Exchange already offers index futures on five assets: Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana, Ripple, and Tron. However, these contracts expire at fixed dates, whereas perpetual futures will roll over automatically to the next trading day.
