MSCI Mulls Dropping Bitcoin Treasuries Strategy from Indexes

MSCI has proposed a new methodology to identify companies that have effectively become holders of non-operational assets. The new approach, based on May data, suggests the potential exclusion of Strategy and Metaplanet from MSCI indexes.

JPMorgan previously estimated a possible passive outflow from Strategy's securities at approximately $2.8 billion in such a scenario.

No decision has been made yet, as MSCI is collecting feedback until September 30, with results expected on October 16.
