Multi-Million Dollar Crypto Exploit Rocks Fetch.ai and NuNet
A multi-million dollar crypto exploit linked to Fetch.ai and NuNet has caused significant market instability.
The attacker drained approximately $1.53 million worth of Fetch.ai tokens (FET) from an Ethereum-based token converter contract on September 19, 2026.
About 28 minutes later, the same exploiter minted around 408.5 million NuNet NTX tokens and sent them to the same wallet.
The combined value of the affected assets was estimated at about $2 million, with the attacker subsequently converting part of the proceeds into ETH.
NuNet's NTX token suffered a sharp market decline, falling around 65% during the initial phase of the incident.
