Muneeb Ali Takes the Helm as Stacks Labs CEO Amid Bitcoin Staking Growth
Stacks Labs, the operational hub of the Stacks ecosystem, has announced that Muneeb Ali, the founder of Stacks (STX), will become the new CEO of the company. Ali's appointment is effective October 15, 2026, and comes at a time when the company is shifting its focus to accelerating adoption following the successful launch of Bitcoin staking.
Recently, institutional partners such as 21shares, UTXO Management, HashKey Cloud, Anchorage, and Fireblocks have joined the Stacks' Bitcoin staking ecosystem. Stacks Labs will expand this work with new hires across business development, regional growth, and brand.
As the CEO of Stacks Labs, Ali will focus on driving the resource alignment and hires necessary to further scale Stacks' visibility in the market while continuing to support key institutional relationships. The product roadmap and existing partnerships continue as planned, and Ali has already begun setting out his priorities for Stacks as he takes the helm.
Muneeb Ali has been working on Bitcoin since 2013, and has been the driving force behind the development of Stacks. He founded the company in 2017 and led the first SEC-qualified token offering in 2019. His experience as founder of the network carries weight with custodians, asset managers, and exchanges operating in regulated markets.
