The remarks, made during an exchange on X, were amplified by a prominent figure in the XRP community and have reignited debate over the billionaire's potential influence on cryptocurrency markets.

Akinyele, identified as a Ripple engineer, publicly thanked Musk for a $25 donation to his X Money account. Another user responded by suggesting the donation should have involved XRP, prompting Akinyele to make a statement that quickly circulated among crypto enthusiasts.

'Trust me, if we get Elon Musk's attention, XRP will be in as well, no doubt,' Akinyele wrote.
