Musk's Return Sparks Dogecoin Rally Speculation Amid Deep Discount
Dogecoin (DOGE) holders are assessing their asset's position after Elon Musk reappeared in crypto news feeds, reacting to a nostalgic NFT screenshot with a simple 'lol'. Although this gesture was not a signal for a new pump, it has prompted DOGE investors to evaluate its current state.
Historical data suggests that Dogecoin is trading at a rare and deep discount. September traditionally ends in positive territory, with an average return of +12.5%. This month is tracking that pattern closely, up 14% so far. The coin also delivers its strongest results in the fourth quarter: average returns are +15.5% in November and +18.9% in December.
Fundamentally, Dogecoin is undergoing a deep price reset while traders in Bitcoin and Ethereum are realizing minimal profits. According to Santiment Intelligence, DOGE's 365-day MVRV ratio has fallen to -19.26%. This means most one-year holders are sitting on unrealized losses and are psychologically unprepared to sell at a loss.
Sanbase classifies these levels as a 'strong buy zone', a level from which the asset has historically staged clean rebounds due to the lack of selling pressure. At the same time, blockchain trackers are recording major capital movements. A transfer of 250,000,000 DOGE (about $23.2 million at a price of $0.093) from an anonymous wallet to Binance was reported by Whale Alert.
