MyDoge Axes Support for Doginals and DRC-20 Assets Amid Maestro Shutdown
MyDoge, a Dogecoin wallet, has announced that it will stop supporting two types of digital assets: Doginals and DRC-20, on September 17, 2026. This decision comes after Maestro, the third-party infrastructure provider powering MyDoge's functionality for these assets, plans to shut down its Dogecoin API services on September 18.
Doginals are digital assets that are inscribed directly on the Dogecoin blockchain, similar to Bitcoin Ordinals. DRC-20 is a token standard built around the Doginals ecosystem. MyDoge described this development as an inconvenient change for holders but emphasized that it wants to provide users with sufficient notice to move their assets safely.
The wallet urged affected users to transfer their Doginals and DRC-20 tokens to compatible wallets before September 17, when support will be suspended. Regular Dogecoin (DOGE) holdings are not affected and do not need to be transferred.
