Zcash Gains Momentum Amid AI-Driven Financial Privacy Concerns
Grayscale's Head of Research, Zach Pandl, believes that artificial intelligence (AI) will create new privacy threats and drive demand for solutions. He sees Zcash as a potential option for users who prioritize financial privacy. AI has ushered in the third wave of concern over financial privacy, following waves caused by computer digitization and automation in the 1970s and Internet expansion in the 1990s.
Pandl noted that AI tools can make blockchain address labeling more effective and widely available, increasing the need for privacy protection. Unlike Bitcoin, Zcash offers shielded transactions using zero-knowledge cryptography to conceal transaction details. Grayscale believes this feature could become a 'must-have' for users who prioritize financial privacy.
The firm highlighted that Zcash's current valuation may not fully reflect its advantages and potential gains. Following a strong performance with an 80% gain over the past month, $ZEC is trading around $850, with some analysts predicting further upside to $1,800.
