MyNearWallet Shutting Down October 31 2026 Users Must Migrate Accounts
MyNearWallet is set to shut down its web interface on October 31, 2026. The platform has advised users to transition their account management to near.com for continued access to cross-chain operations and yield management. As a non-custodial service, user funds and on-chain assets remain secure, but users must switch to an alternative frontend to maintain control over their assets.
The migration process involves setting up a new profile using security keys. MyNearWallet has provided detailed instructions and a timeline for the transition. Users are recommended to perform a test transfer with a small amount of tokens before moving larger sums. Additionally, incoming addresses in the new system are single-use, meaning users must generate a new address for each transaction to avoid losing assets.
To prevent phishing attacks during the transition, MyNearWallet emphasizes that no staff member or developer will ever ask for private passphrases, seed keys, or security phrases. Users should ensure they have their original security documentation and master passwords until all items are successfully updated in the new interface.
Meanwhile, the Near Protocol (NEAR) price has been consolidating within a narrow range, forming a bullish pennant pattern. After a significant rally in September, the price has retreated slightly, currently trading at $5.16. This downtick suggests a potential drop to retest the support trendline at $4.82. However, the broader market sentiment remains strongly bullish, with the potential for an upside breakout pushing the price to $5.09, $7.06, or even $8.2.
