Nadex Clears SEC Hurdle for Single-Stock Futures on OG.com
Crypto.com's US-regulated derivatives arm, North American Derivatives Exchange (Nadex), has received clearance from the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) to list single-stock futures on its affiliated trading platform OG.com. The registration took effect immediately after the SEC acknowledged Nadex's filing on September 16.
Nadex separately holds registration with the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) as a designated contract market and derivatives clearing organization. Crypto.com co-founder and CEO Kris Marszalek stated that the company is working with both the SEC and CFTC to gain approval for single-stock perpetual futures in the US, which will combine the innovations of digital asset markets with the US capital markets.
This move reflects a shared strategy among crypto platforms to apply digital asset market structures to traditional equity products. Other notable players such as Coinbase and Kraken are also exploring similar opportunities, including offering tokenized stocks and perpetual futures in various jurisdictions.
