Nansen CEO Stands by Bitcoin 60000 Floor Prediction
Nansen CEO Alex Svanevik remains firm in his prediction that Bitcoin will never trade below $60,000 again, despite earlier doubts. Bitcoin recently bounced off $58,000 earlier this year, and Svanevik’s confidence is not based solely on Bitcoin’s strengths but rather on the weaknesses of fiat currencies.
Svanevik’s reasoning hinges on the idea that central banks cannot stop printing money, leading to currency debasement. He points to Bitcoin’s fixed supply of 21 million coins, many of which are already lost, as a key factor in its resilience. Bitcoin is currently trading at $86,090.25, up 1% in the past 24 hours and 3.6% over the week.
Despite his bullish stance on the $60,000 floor, Svanevik avoids making year-end price predictions for Bitcoin or Ethereum, citing geopolitical uncertainty, Treasury bills, and rising interest rates as factors that make short-term forecasts difficult. He also warns about the potential impact of a stalled AI trade on all markets, including crypto.
Svanevik is particularly excited about tokenized stocks, which he believes will benefit layer 1 networks like Solana. He also highlights AI-driven ‘agentic’ trading as an area of focus for Nansen, indicating a broader interest in technological advancements within the crypto space.
