Nasdaq Grants DeFi Technologies Second Extension to Regain Compliance
DeFi Technologies has received a second 180-day extension from Nasdaq to regain compliance with its $1 minimum bid price requirement. The firm's Nasdaq-listed shares (DEFT) had closed below $1 for 30 consecutive business days, prompting the initial deficiency notification on March 5, 2026.
The company was granted an initial 180-day window that expired on September 1, 2026, but has now qualified for a second period due to meeting continued listing requirements apart from the minimum bid price rule. Nasdaq's notification has no immediate effect on the listing or trading of shares, which continue to change hands as normal.
To regain compliance, DeFi Technologies must reach at least $1.00 closing bid price for ten consecutive trading days within the additional period, which runs into early March 2027. The company has cautioned that there can be no assurance it will regain compliance within this extra window or maintain Nasdaq's continued listing requirements.
DeFi Technologies operates Valour, a platform offering exchange-traded products (ETPs) for retail and institutional investors to access digital assets through traditional accounts. Its Nasdaq listing represents its primary United States exchange quotation, serving as a reference point for publicly traded crypto companies.
