Near and Zcash Prices Surge on Project-Related Developments
Near Protocol (NEAR) and Zcash (ZEC) have both seen significant price increases, with NEAR climbing over 20% since yesterday morning and ZEC reaching a high of $1,400.
The price surge in NEAR is linked to the project's Confidential Intents program, which has reached a milestone with more than $70 million in total value locked. This triggered a snapshot for the NEAR@3.33 incentive program, allowing eligible users to claim their allocations. Analyst Rain attributes the price move to Intents activity and the $70 million milestone, noting that the history of NEAR's recovery suggests the latest move is part of a broader trend.
Zcash (ZEC), on the other hand, has seen its price rise due to proposed changes to the network's speed and token schedule. A vote showed 99.9% support for reducing the target block time from 75 seconds to 25 seconds, with 98.9% backing keeping the existing halving schedule. This vote does not mean the changes are already active on the network.
