NEAR Breaks Falling Wedge, Targets $6 as Zcash Usage Surges
The NEAR price has broken out of a falling wedge pattern that formed since 2024. After hitting a low of $0.85 in February 2026, NEAR rose to $3.0 by early June before facing resistance and retreating to the $1.50-$1.60 region by mid-August.
The bulls returned quickly, creating demand that pushed NEAR above the falling wedge in September. The token then rallied towards $4.80, setting up a major technical breakout.
For now, the price needs to hold above $4.34 to confirm the breakout and potentially open the door to $5.0 and $6.0. However, if it slips below this level, the next important area will be between $3.30 and $3.70.
The technical breakout comes alongside a major claim about NEAR's role in Zcash transfers. Previously, moving Zcash often meant using centralized exchanges, creating an account, and waiting around 30 minutes. NEAR Intents now supports native ZEC transfers across more than 30 chains, including Ethereum and Solana, in just a few seconds for less than a cent.
