NEAR Brings Tokenized US Stocks to near.com via Ambitious Multichain Strategy
NEAR Protocol and Ondo Finance have collaborated to launch tokenized US stocks directly through near.com, making it possible for users to access a wide range of assets. At launch, twenty tokens are available, including Nvidia, Tesla, Apple, and the SPY and QQQ ETFs.
The integration is built on NEAR Intents, an ambitious multichain distribution strategy that prioritizes infrastructure over asset volume. This approach aims to establish NEAR as a standard RWA (Real-World Assets) distribution layer accessible across the entire multichain ecosystem.
What sets this integration apart is the use of USDon, a stablecoin issued by Ondo and backed 1:1 by a US dollar held in an Ondo Stocks brokerage account. This enables instant transactions with no dependency on traditional settlement windows.
