NEAR Intents Hacked for $3.8M, Hacker Given 48-Hour Ultimatum
Near Protocol's NEAR Intents has been hacked for $3.8 million, and its general manager Alex Shevchenko claims they've identified the culprit.
In a post on X, Shevchenko said 'We have identified you, sir,' giving the hacker 48 hours to return the funds under 'responsible disclosure.'
The incident occurred when NEAR Intents paused services due to a bug in its Omni deposit and withdrawal infrastructure interaction with its smart contract.
A preliminary investigation found that $3.8 million was stolen, and NEAR Intents has pledged to compensate affected users in full.
