NEAR Intents Hit by $3.8M Security Breach
Crypto protocol NEAR Intents has suffered a security breach, resulting in the loss of $3.8 million from user funds.
The incident was caused by a 'bug in the Omni deposit and withdrawal infrastructure interaction with NEAR Intents smart contract', according to an X post from the protocol.
NEAR Intents has assured users that it will compensate them fully for their lost funds, and the contract-side vulnerability has been patched to prevent similar attacks.
The breach was reported to law enforcement, and NEAR is working with security partners to trace the funds and pursue recovery. A detailed report will be shared publicly in the coming days.
