NEAR Intents Recovers $3.8 Million Stolen in Recent Hack
NEAR Intents, a cross-chain trading protocol built on NEAR Protocol, has successfully recovered all $3.8 million stolen in a recent hack. The company temporarily suspended its service after discovering a vulnerability in the interaction between Omni's deposit and withdrawal infrastructure and its smart contracts.
After identifying the attacker, NEAR Intents demanded the return of the funds within 48 hours as per its procedures. Notably, the protocol chose to stop further investigation once all the stolen money was returned.
The hack occurred despite NEAR Intents' previous efforts to ensure the security of its systems. The company's internal investigation revealed that about $3.8 million in user funds had been stolen.
