NEAR Intents Surpasses $30 Billion in Cumulative Volume as Daily Records Fall
NEAR Protocol's NEAR Intents has reached a significant milestone, surpassing $30 billion in cumulative all-time volume. This achievement comes as daily records fall, with the platform recording its strongest single-day performance on record on September 18. On that day, daily volume exceeded $300 million.
NEAR Intents is a cross-chain execution system that allows users to declare what they want to do, such as swap Token A on Chain X for Token B on Chain Y, without the need for bridges or wrapped assets. The platform currently supports swaps across more than 30 chains and over 100 distinct assets.
The recent volume spike is driven in part by Zcash (ZEC) swaps routed through the ZODL wallet, which have become a meaningful source of traffic on the platform. Of the roughly $31.4 billion in cumulative trades, approximately $29.5 billion came from public intents while nearly $1.9 billion flowed through confidential intents.
